Muay Thai Mixed Levels

Class description
This class is a mixed level class and has been designed for those of all ages. Each class involves a high intensity workout, shadow sparring, combinations, bag work, partner drills and pad work. You will learn the art of 8 limbs (punches, kicks, knees and elbows on both left and right side) under the guidance of our expert coaches, you will be encouraged to push yourself to improve both your fitness and technique. This class can also involve some light contact sparring.

Grading
Gradings run every 3 months and are optional but strongly recommended. We use a fully graded system using coloured armbands to denote each level.
Muay Thai Fundamentals
(Level 1)

Class description
Muay Thai Fundamentals- level 1. This is a mixed level class, designed for the beginners who are starting their Muay Thai journey to the seasoned fighter. In this class, you will work on building a strong base and foundation. You will learn the basic drills of footwork, stance, how to attack and defend the basic moves refining the 8 weapons (punches, kicks, knees and elbows on both left and right side) used in Muay Thai.

Muay Intermediate
(Level 2)

Class description
Level 2- Intro to free pads and light sparring, is a class for those that have been training for a while and are ready to build on the fundamental skills learnt in level 1.
​
In this class you will learn how to build and execute more advanced combinations and learn how work the pads and also hold them, for what we call “free pads” (where there is no set combo) The combos and techniques are put together under guidance having you attack, defend, evade and counter attack.
​
This class also introduces you to sparring and clinching. This is always done in a controlled manner to help build your confidence and skills and minimise the potential for injury.

Muay Thai Advanced
(Level 3)

Class description
Advanced Muay Thai - Level 3. This is a higher-level class for the person who has progressed through levels 1 & 2 and is ready to make the next step in their training. This class doesn’t cater for beginners, and you would require a year or two of training under your belt and have a great understanding of the techniques to feel comfortable and confident in this class.
​
You will be required to work on your own at times in this class when it comes to skipping, strength exercises, shadow sparring and bag work. There is a strong emphasis on fitness and conditioning, and we would expect you to be reasonably fit to be able to complete the class. There is also a high degree of contact in the class to enable realistic defence and offence to be practiced, so having all your own protective gear is essential.

Fighters Class
(Level 4)

Class description
Fighters Training - Level 4. Our fighters’ class is invite only. To be able to participate in this class, you would need to be reasonably fit and have a high level of prior experience in Muay Thai. This gruelling ‘Thai style’ class begins with a team run to start with, skipping, shadow sparring, bag and pad work, clinching, sparring and strength training.

NOTE: Participating in this class, does not mean that you must compete.

Open Sparring

Class description
This is a mixed level class and is perfect for those who want to begin sparring. This class has been designed so that beginners can practice their foundation skills and the more experienced fighter can continue to sharpen theirs.
​
In this class, the most experienced fighter must adjust their pace and skill to the less experienced fighter. This allows both partners to ability to grow and learn from one another.
